Responsible Tourism

Protecting the landscapes that give us adventure.

Our commitment to the environment, our community, and future generations.

Why it Matters

Tourism is a global powerhouse, accounting for approximately 10% of global GDP and supporting 1 in 10 jobs worldwide. In Wales, the visitor economy is vital, sustaining local communities and preserving our heritage.

However, this growth brings responsibility. As a UK-based activity provider operating primarily within the Pembrokeshire Coast and Brecon Beacons National Parks, we recognize our obligation to minimize our impact. We view our role not just as guides, but as stewards of these wild places.

The "Addo" Promise

We support the Welsh "Addo" campaign—a pledge to care for the people and places of Wales. We encourage all our guests to join us in making a promise to care for the countryside, respect local communities, and leave no trace.

Our Policy Commitments

How we translate our philosophy into action.

Leave No Trace

We operate a strict "pack it in, pack it out" policy. Beyond removing our own waste, we actively remove litter left by others whenever safe to do so ("2 Minute Beach Clean").

Support Local

We are dedicated to supporting our local economy. We use local services, hire local staff, and recommend independent local food and accommodation providers to our clients.

Active Conservation

We educate our staff to take an active interest in environmental issues. We adhere to seasonal restrictions (e.g., nesting birds on sea cliffs) to protect local wildlife.

Client Education

We provide clients with advice on how to respect the environment. This isn't just about rules; it's about helping visitors understand the unique ecology of the landscapes they explore.

Sustainable Operations

We aim to minimize damage to the natural environment in all our operations, from reducing single-use plastics in our center to maintaining our vehicles and equipment efficiently.

Future Generations

We align with the spirit of the Well-being of Future Generations Act (Wales), ensuring that our business today does not compromise the ability of future generations to enjoy these landscapes.
