DofE Walking Expeditions

Skills for Life: The Classic DofE Challenge

Completing an assessment by foot is a highly rewarding journey. It’s not just about walking; it’s about navigation, teamwork, and resilience.

We provide a high level of training throughout the entire process. All our staff are qualified instructors with years of experience in the mountains and hills of the UK. We ensure every participant is fully prepared before they step out into the wild.

Flexible Training Locations

To help keep costs down and fit around school schedules, we are happy to travel to you. During the training stage, we can visit your school to teach camp craft, menu planning, and the basics of navigation right on your grounds.

Following this, we head into appropriate local areas to continue advanced Map Work and Navigation training, ensuring your group is ready for the real expedition.

Expeditions Across the UK

Locations for the Expedition can be anywhere you choose. We love to travel! A popular itinerary involves initial training in England, a practice expedition in the Brecon Beacons or Snowdonia (Wales), and a final qualifying assessment in the stunning Scottish Highlands.
