Canoe Trip Fun

Standard Trip (Long Half-Day)

An ideal trip for anyone wanting to pack adventure into a day. Trips start in the morning and last around 4 hours.

This spectacular journey takes you through the Teifi Gorge, a Special Area of Conservation. The gorge was once used for slate quarrying, but is now a tranquil haven for wildlife.

Wildlife Watch: Keep your eyes peeled for Otters, Red Kites, Salmon, Kingfishers, and even Red Deer! This trip starts at Llechryd and heads into Cardigan town.

Full Day Experience

We venture downstream around 10am, admiring the backdrop of ancient oak and beech forests. We aim to give you a full experience, including tackling small Grade 1-2 rapids.

As the trip continues, the river widens into an open estuary. We can stop for refreshments near the Teifi Marshes Nature Reserve or find a spot for a pub lunch in the historic town of Cardigan.

Continuing down the river, we meander around fishing boats through the seaside village of St. Dogmaels, finally meeting the sea at Cardigan Bay. Keep an eye out for cormorants on old shipwrecks!

Common Questions

They are stable but take a few minutes to get used to. If you are nervous, we can join two canoes together (catamaran style) to make a platform that is almost impossible to capsize.
We meet you at the start location where you leave your vehicle. After the trip, we provide a shuttle to take the drivers back to the start to collect the cars.
The launch point involves a 20ft slope on rough ground. However, we have successfully taken wheelchair users by assisting where asked. We do our absolute best to accommodate everyone—please contact us to discuss your needs.
It is possible, but not common. Usually, people fall out the side before the whole boat tips! Our instructors are there to help you stay dry (mostly).
