Fire lighting, shelter building, and campfire cooking in the wild.
Lighting a fire in the great outdoors comes with responsibility. We teach you how to do this safely and leave no trace.
Once you have mastered using tools like knives and saws to process wood, you'll move on to fire lighting methods—from modern flint and steel to friction fire. This leads nicely into water purification and cooking on an open fire. It is the perfect time to enjoy a cuppa and a snack (often damper bread or popcorn) using the pot hanger you made yourself!

We can deliver this activity at various locations or bring it to you.
Rain or Shine:
Bushcraft is an all-weather activity. However, if the weather is particularly bad, we are lucky to have a covered barn area at our site so the session can go ahead comfortably out of the rain.
Walk In:
There may be a short walk across a field to the bushcraft site, so sensible footwear is required.
Purifying water to make a safe drink from just a spark.
Safe use of knife and batten to process wood for the fire.
From sparks to friction—the art of making fire.
Making damper bread on a stick over the open fire.
Learning how to respect nature and stay safe outdoors.
